Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Education Facilities in AJ&K

Objective:

Provide access to marginalized and vulnerable communities with special focus on girl child to receive structured education from primary to grade 10 in a safe environment.

Improve service delivery and learning outcomes for marginalized and vulnerable communities with parental engagement and public private partnership.                     

Result:

Increased enrolment of marginalized and vulnerable children with measurable increase in girl child enrolment in structured learning and completing 10 years of quality education.

Improved service delivery and learning outcomes for marginalized and disadvantaged children with supportive monitoring, parental oversight and public private partnership initiatives.

5 high schools provided with WASH facilities.

Major Activities undertaken:

Reconstruction of 5 High Schools, Procurement of furniture and equipment with installation.  Training of teachers and Education Department Officials.  Formation and training of SMCs (School Management Committees), Mothers Group, Youth Group.  Establishment of Education Fund.  Coordination meeting between all stakeholders.  Awareness raising workshops.  Monitoring and Evaluation.  Provision of WASH Facilities at 5 high schools.
